Seven Generations Healing Network
With so many of the aboriginal youth dropping out of school and seeking refuge in the street and incarceration, and eventually "Gangs". Our Mentors program will re-introduce our young menand women to a more family grounded foundation. Over the course of generations, our young have witnessed abuse and neglect in many forms. Unfortunately, the young seen firsthand on how Government and Churches have taken advantage of our people. They also felt victim by our Law Enforcement representatives; Thus leading to lack of "TRUST". Areas that cause resentment and anger stem from the living conditions many of the aboriginal youth have had to endure. The lack of proper education and economic conditions each youngster has had to grow up in. That is not to mention the many forms of abuse and neglect the aboriginal youth of today refuse to talk about. It is our responsibility as Mentors to speak about our experiences openly to help heal our young and our people.
